Pocket Angel is working closely with a range of organisations that work in the homeless sector to ensure that we can provide services and support into the Pocket Angel Restore and Pocket Angel Home initiatives.
These organisations provide a set of services that can help people on their journey to a home, a job, and feeling empowered and valued.
Amber support young adults (aged 18-30) facing complex problems and offer homeless support to transform their lives by helping them move away from homelessness, out of unemployment and work towards better, brighter and healthier futures.
At their centres in Devon, Wiltshire, Surrey and Kent they provide much more than a safe place to stay. Alongside a temporary home, every young person who comes to Amber receives personalised support and has the opportunity to develop new skills, experiences and has the time to focus on themselves. Their work is designed to help young people move on positively and independently to a job, a place in education or training and most importantly of all a safe, sustainable place to call home. |
Building Heroes provides skills training to Military Veterans and support into employment in the building trades. Their aim is to tackle unemployment amongst those who have kept us safe by offering them a seamless transition to a new career in construction. |
Equal Footings works in the Brighton area to acquire property that is either gifted or provided on a long-term lease. They then design and build suitable accommodation to house around 20 people in each of the projects.
Sadly, Ethicul has ceased to function. It was a platform that rewarded you for shopping with ethical local independents. Ethiculs’ aim was to create a more sustainable planet, better communities and improve social wellbeing. Every time you purchased Pocket Angel vouchers you could send your confirmation to Ethicul and you would receive Ethicul tokens which could be redeemed for exclusive rewards.
onHand uses technology to link volunteers with people needing help with errands and other simple tasks. Pocket Angel is partnering with onHand to pick up and deliver food when the recipient of vouchers cannot go out.
