Operational
Pocket Angel is a digital platform and as such will require the creation of digital assets such as leaflets, graphics for printing and high resolution digital displays as well as posts on social media platforms. We expect our website to evolve over time and require the Graphic Designer to work with the Website Designer and Website Admin to create digital assets for the website.
The current Pocket Angel site runs on WordPress and requires a complete redesign inline with standard WordPress best practice. We may decide to move the website to an alternative CMS, and would expect this role to be actively involved in the selection of, and move to, this new platform. We need a website designer who can create a new site based on WordPress or an appropriate CMS. This must be desktop and mobile friendly.
The Pocket Angel website forms a part of the charity’s mission to educate and inform (through Pocket Angel Inform) and will require regular update. The Website Admin will be responsible for keeping information on the site up to date and relevant to the work of the charity.
This is the core role for running Pocket Angel on a day to day basis. This role will use the backend Pocket Angel control panel to administer, for example, all registered users, their transactions, voucher income and expenditure, and PayPal interactions.
Pocket Angel Assist has a backend control panel and website which requires administration. The admin will be responsible for maintaining the app controls and associated web feeds that keep the app fully functional. The admin will be responsible for answering queries from the public concerning transactions through the app and control panel.
Team Members
Pocket Angel will require several volunteer team members willing to give out promotional material, attend stalls at events and participate in Pocket Angel event activities such as registering attendees, serving meals etc. Initially, these activities will take place in the Brighton and Hove area.
This role requires the volunteer be committed to times they have signed up to do a specific task, be punctual and perform their duties in a polite and professional manner.
There will be no specific or regular time requirements for these roles, they will be ad-hoc, on an as-needed basis. The Pocket Angel volunteer coordinator will maintain the list of possible staffing and will contact volunteers with plenty of notice on up-coming Pocket Angel events.
